Ichigo finally gets asked out by the cutest boy in school. But on the date, she gets zapped by a mysterious ray that scrambles her DNA with that of the Iriomote wildcat, an endangered species. Soon, Ichigo discovers that she has developed the agility (as well as the ears and tail on occasion) of a cat, as well as the power to transform into a pink-haired super-heroine, Mew Ichigo.
